High School Weekly Happenings 1.10.2011 - 1.14.2011

Report Cards:  Report cards go home today!

ACT Workshop:  Any 9th-12th graders interested in participating in the ACT workshop must sign-up and pay $35 in the office by this Tuesday.  The workshop will be led by Mr. Leonard Blanton from 8:00-2:00 at LCHS on Friday, January 14th.

No School:  In honor of MLK Day we will not have school on Monday, January 17th.

Lunch Forms:  February Lunch forms will be due by the end of the school day on Friday, January 21st.  Those who ordered lunch on Monday, January 10th will be credited one lunch in February.  When filling out your February lunch form please be sure to deduct $5 and write “credit from January 10th”.

Senior Class Payments:  All Seniors need to bring their class fee to Mrs. Fields in the office as soon as possible. 

Re-enrollment:  We will be sending home re-enrollment forms this week.  Please be sure to return them as soon as possible to ensure your child’s placement next year.  New applications will be available to the public beginning February 1st.

*Senior Night at approximately 6:00 p.m.*
(Any Senior who has played a sport is invited)

Thursday, January 13th:
3:00 Basketball Game at Lamar Christian
(JV girls dismissed at 2:00)
6:00 Baseball practice at Hosey Field

Friday, January 14th:
4:00 Basketball Game at Sylva Bay
(JV girls dismissed at 2:15)

Saturday, January 15th:
1:00 Boys Soccer Game against River Oaks at Flowood
Players need to be at University Christian’s Field by 12:00.

Monday, January 17th:
3:00 Home Boys Soccer Game against Central Hinds
Tennis team:   The Friday class with Coach Patrick Tibbs has been temporarily suspended.  The next class will be Friday, January 21st from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for $10.  You may reach Coach Tibbs at 601-580-1336 if you have any questions.
Karate Class:  Luke Hammonds teaches a Shotokan Martial Art class every Monday night at 6:30 in the LCHS gym.   You may email him at hammondskarate@yahoo.com for more information.
