Preschool Weekly Happenings 8.30.2010 - 9.3.2010

Please note that the Preschool Campus will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 14th due to an event at the church.  There will be NO School and No Extended Care.
Extended Care:  Extended Care payments are due on Wednesday, September 1st.  Please make payments on or before September 1st.
Tuition:  September tuition is due by September 5th.  Please send in payments by September 5th
Coke Sale:  We are beginning our fall coke fundraiser today.  Sale dates are from August 30th- September 10th.  Pick-up date is October 12th in the parking lot beside the tennis courts on the elementary campus.

Due to this time of year, we will begin to use mosquito spray this week.  Please let us know if your child is allergic to mosquito spray.
PTO:  The PTO will have a school wide meeting on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 6:30 pm at the Elementary Campus.  We will be discussing events for the upcoming school year.   The PTO will also be giving away (2) $100 Cash Prizes!  Please make plans to attend.
There will be a Homeroom Mothers Meeting immediately following the school wide PTO meeting on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 6:30 pm.  Please make plans to attend to get your Homeroom Mom information for the school year.
Student of the Week:  Each child will have a turn being student of the week.  A bag will be sent home with a form to fill out about your child.  You may allow your child to fill it up with items (photos, etc.) that they enjoy to show their class.  During your child’s week you are welcome to send a special snack to share with the class.  Please let your child’s teacher know if you intend to do so.
Medication:  If your child is sick, please do not send him or her to school.  Please be sure that your child is free of fever for 24 hours before returning to school.

Elementary Weekly Happenings 8.30.2010 - 9.3.2010

Carpool Reminders: 
  • Remain in your ca in the carpool line to pick up your child.
  • Do not park your car in the parking lot and get out to pick up your child.
  • Be sure to come at your designated pick up time according to you eldest child's pick up time.
  • Do not try to line up earlier than your designated time.
Coke Fundraiser: We are beginning our Fall Coke Fundraiser today! Sale dates are from August 30-Spetember 10. The pick up date is October 12, in the parking lot beside the tennis courts, on the elementary campus. Let's make this fundraiser a huge success! 

Tutoring: Mrs. Sheri Webb will be tutoring after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Call 601-649-3999 to schedule time and day.

Tutoring: Mrs. Holli Hinton(2nd grade teacher) has limited space available for tutoring. Call the office at 601-649-3999 to schedule time and day.

P.E. Reminder: Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes and brings a water bottle on their classes P.E. day.

School Wide P.T.O. Meeting: Thursday, Sept. 16, at 6:30pm, at the elementary campus. We will be discussing events for the upcoming school year. The PTO will also be giving away (2) $100 cash prizes! Please make plans to attend.

Homeroom Mothers Meeting: Immediately following the PTO meeting on Thursday. Please make plans to get your Homeroom Mothers information for the school year.

Class Roster: A class roster will be sent home with your child this week. If there is any change in your child's information , please make those changes and send the roster bak to your child's teacher by Friday, September 3. If the information is correct there is no need to send the roster back. Thank you!

High School Weekly Happenings 8.30.2010 - 9.3.2010

Labor Day:  We will not have school on Monday, September 6th due to the Labor Day Holiday.


Blood Drive:  Thank you to all who came out and supported our blood drive.  We collected a total of 64 units!


Carpool line:  Thank you for being patient with our carpool line.  Please continue to pull up as close as you can to the vehicle in front of you and drive to the end of the sidewalk past the High School entrance.  


TARS:  The Teenage Republicans (TARS) will hold elections this Thursday, September 2nd during both lunch periods.  Students, please stop by the atrium to vote for your new officers.  


Speech & Debate:  Parents Preview Night will be Tuesday, September 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.  Mrs. Boyd will be sending an email with more information.


PTO Fundraiser:  Packets went home today for our coke sale fundraiser.  The sale lasts from August 30th-September 10th. Please encourage your student to participate.  This is a great way to raise money for our school.  Coke products will be distributed on October 12th.


PTO:  Please come out for our school wide PTO meeting Thursday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the elementary campus.  We will be discussing events for the upcoming school year.  The PTO will have a drawing of $100 for both a teacher and a parent.


8th Grade Washington, D.C. Trip:  The 8th grade will be taking a trip to Washington, D.C. on  April 30-May 4, 2011.  Please send your first deposit of $200 (marked DC trip) to the office by Friday, September 17th.

Sports Physicals:  Dr. Graham Rogers will be giving physicals on Saturday, September 4th from 9 -11 a.m. at Jefferson Medical on 13th Avenue in the Neurology Building.  The cost is $20.

Tennis team:  All students wishing to begin practice with Coach Patrick Tibbs may do so beginning Friday, September 10th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for $10 a lesson.  Please call (601-580-1336) or email (ptibbs006@yahoo.com) Coach Tibbs to register your child.

Baseball/Soccer Field Workday:  Please come out and help work on the fields Saturday, September 11 from 8:00-12:00.
