Elementary Weekly Happenings 3.28.2011 - 4.1.2011

SAT Testing continues this week.  Parents, please make every effort to have your child here and on time each day!

Cheerleaders:  Pictures will be taken at Lyon Photo on Tuesday, March 29, @ 6:00 pm.  Wear your cheerleading outfit!

Drama Club:  ALL CAST MEMBERS, ALL INDIAN DANCERS AND CREW will meet Thursday, March 31, after school till 4:30. This week we will not use scripts!! Remember to wear your Drama Club T-shirt. This week's snack mom is Carlyn Pugh.  (50 players)

Drama Club:  How are the costumes coming along?  If you have any questions concerning costumes please call Mrs. Kathy Morgan at 601-649-1880.

Day in the Park Training:  Registration will continue through Friday, April 1.  The training starts Tuesday, March 29, from 2:30 – 3:30.  Please bring a water bottle and a healthy snack.  You must have a health consent form signed and turned in with registration.  

April 9th--Run to the Cross: sponsored by Coach Slaughter.. Half-mile fun run for ages 3-6, one-mile fun run ages 7-12. T-shirt included $12.00. Registration to be sent home/picked up at any LCS campus.

Relay for Life (American Cancer Society):  Fundraising efforts have begun for this year’s event, scheduled Friday, April 29th at the Sportsplex.  LCS Team Captains are Mrs. Jade Yoder, Mrs. Holli Hinton, and Mrs. Elizabeth Lee.  If you are interested in helping with any fundraising events or being a team member and walking at the event, please contact Jade Yoder (649-4190).  Donations are accepted at any time.  Please make checks payable to American Cancer Society. Our first fundraising event, Relay Spirit Day will be held Friday, April 1st!  Students must pay $2.00 to wear a blue or gold or LCS shirt.  Thank you for your support!

Remember to put your child’s name on all lunch boxes, jackets, backpacks, etc.  All Lost and Found items without a name, that have not been claimed within 2 weeks, will be given to the Salvation Army.

Registration is now open to the public.  All classes will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
