High School Weekly Happenings 11.15.2010 - 11.19.2010

Lunch Forms:  December lunch forms are due Wednesday, November 17th by 3:00.

Early Dismissals:  All Students will be dismissed at 2:30 on Thursday, November 18th due to the 3:00 basketball game.  Students will also be dismissed at 11:45 on Friday, November 19th due to the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday.

Thanksgiving:  We will be out of school on Monday, November 22nd-Friday, November 26th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Student Council & Honor Society:  The November Service Project will be to decorate Christmas ornaments for the Comfort Care Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 30th from 3:30-4:30.  Please sign  up with Mrs. Yoder or Mrs. Crager by Thursday, November 18th.

10:00 Basketball Game at PCS
(JV girls depart at 8:00 a.m.)

(JVB Boys dismissed @ 1:15 & JV girls dismissed @ 2:15)
Basketball players:  Be sure to turn in your sponsorship forms and money ASAP to Coach Slaughter.

FCA:  The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet this Wednesday @ 7:30 a.m. in the worship center.

Tennis team:   All students wishing to be on the tennis team may practice with Coach Patrick Tibbs on Fridays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for $10 a lesson.  You may reach Coach Tibbs at 601-580-1336.

Karate Class:  Luke Hammonds teaches a Shotokan Martial Art class every Monday night at 6:30 in the LCHS gym.   You may email him at hammondskarate@yahoo.com for more information.
Speech & Debate

Congratulations to Alex Hendry for qualifying to attend the 2011 National Forensic League National Tournament in Dallas, Texas, in June.  She won one of three House of Representatives slots in Congressional Debate at the Mississippi District Qualifiers this past weekend in Jackson.
