High School Weekly Happenings 10.11.2010 - 10.15.2010

Coke Sales Pick-up:  If you have drinks to pick-up from the coke sale fundraiser please do so this Tuesday, October 12th from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Audubon Campus parking lot located by the tennis courts.  Due to the construction it is imperative that all drinks are picked up on that day.  We will not be able to guarantee accuracy of your order after that point. 

Lost and Found:  This will be the last week for students to claim items from the lost and found.  Any items left will either be donated to the Salvation Army or thrown away.  Please encourage your student to keep up with their things.  

PSAT:  The PSAT will be administered to all Juniors this Wednesday, October 13th.  Students are dismissed once they have completed the test.

Student Council & Honor Society Project:  Please bring crayons and/or coloring books to be donated to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.  Donation boxes are located in Mrs. Burchfield ,Mrs. Crager’s room, and the school office.  We will receive donations through October 15th.

PLAN:  The PLAN will be administered to all Sophomores on Wednesday, October 20th.  Students are dismissed once they have completed the test.

Report Cards:  We will send report cards home with students on Monday, October 18th.

Harvest Festival:  Please come out for a night of fun at our Annual Harvest Festival, on November 4th, at 5:30 p.m. on the Audubon campus.  Order forms went home today for Smokehouse dinner plates and armbands.

Tennis team:   All students wishing to be on the tennis team may practice with Coach Patrick Tibbs on Fridays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for $10 a lesson.  Please call (601-580-1336) or email (ptibbs006@yahoo.com) Coach Tibbs to register your child. 

Karate Class:  Luke Hammonds will be holding a Shotokan Martial Art class every Monday night at 6:30 in the LCHS gym.   You may email him at hammondskarate@yahoo.com for more information.

This past weekend, some of our novices attended the Stennis Novice tournament at Mississippi State with outstanding results. LCS was one of two schools who received the School of Excellence Award for both Debate and Individual Events. The recognized students are listed below:
