Field Day: Friday, April 27. This will be a half-day. All kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:00. All 1st - 6th grades will be dismissed after the games are over at 11:30. Extended Care will be available for regular users. If you have a canopy that could be used as a shade area, please contact your child’s teacher. Please bring your own jump rope for the jump rope competition. Be sure to wear your field day t-shirt and jeans or khaki shorts. Be sure and wear your tennis shoes. Please do not wear sandals or flip-flops!

Art Students: DAY IN THE PARK is coming up May 5. Any student wishing to enter artwork may enter up to 2 works at the cost of $2.00 each. Artwork needs to be mounted on poster board or mat board (no framed works) and brought to Mrs. Ishee no later than May 2, so she can get them turned in for judging. Also, any Laurel Arts League or MAIS district winners' entries may be entered. Also, any previous artwork done at school or home may be entered.
Spring Program: Please have your child wear a spring colored top (no motif please) and uniform bottoms. Girls may wear a spring dress. Parents, grandparents, family members and friends are invited to attend.

Animal Rescue League: The Laurel Christian High School 2012 Senior Service Project is a Food Drive for the ARL. They will also be working at the shelter. Donation Bins have been placed at the elementary and high school campuses. Please place donated food items in this bin before Wednesday morning, April 25. The bin is only half full. Please make your donation by Wednesday morning. Thank You!
Parents if you want to park and walk your child into school be sure to use the parking spaces facing Audubon Drive rather than the parking spaces across from the carpool drop-off. This is for the safety of our children.
AR: All AR testing needs to be completed by April 27, 2012.
Book Fair: The Scholastic Book Fair will begin on April 30 - May 4.
