Elementary Weekly Happenings 1.30.2012-2.3.2012

Re-Registration Forms:  were due Friday, January 27.  Registration and Capital Improvement Fees are due at the time the application is turned in.  Any forms turned in now will incur a $100 Late Fee per family.  Open registration will begin on Wednesday, February 1.  At that time, classes will be filled on a first come basis. 

Peewee Basketball Pictures (4th - 6th grades):  Wednesday, February 1, at 1:30, at the elementary campus.  Players need to bring their BLUE uniforms.

Open House:  Open House for K5 through 6th grade will be Tuesday, February 7, at 6:30 pm. 

Spring Coke Sale:  Order Forms will go home today.  We will be selling cases of drinks until February 17^th for pick –up on March 6^th.  We’ll have cash prizes for each campus and each grade, and a class prize also.  All the details are on the order form.  This sale brings much needed funds for year-end PTO projects.  This is one of the largest fundraisers of the year, and it is easy.  The drinks are being delivered the week before spring break, so stock-up now.

Last call for Yearbook orders @ regular price!  If the deadline slipped up on you, don't worry because here's your second chance!  Return the order form to the office by Wednesday, February 1.  LAST CALL ORDERS MUST BE TURNED IN BY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1!  If you are interested in advertising in our yearbook, contact Amanda Kennedy:  akennedy@laurelchristian.org or call 601-649-4190.

Re-Registration:  Please fill out Re-Registration forms and return to the school office. Please note that a $100 late fee will be assessed for applications returned after January 27^th.  Registration is now open to new families and some of our classes are almost full.  Please return your applications to ensure a spot for next school year.

**Upcoming K-4 Students:  All upcoming K4 Students for next school year must remit an immunization compliance form with their 2012-2013 School year application.

NO SCHOOL & NO EXTENDED CARE:  There will be NO SCHOOL & NO EXTENDED CARE on Tuesday, February 7^th due to an event at the church.  Anyone who ordered lunch on that day will receive a credit for a lunch in March.

Carpool Reminder:  Just a friendly reminder that students should be picked up in carpool by 11:45 am.  Please make every effort to pick up your child by that time. 

Valentine’s Parties:  The Preschool Valentine’s Parties will be on Monday, February 13^th at 9:30 am.

February tuition is due by February 5^th. Please send in payments ASAP.

Extended Care:  February Extended Care Payments are due tomorrow.  Please remit payments ASAP.

Speech and Hearing:  We will have a Speech and Hearing Screening on Friday, February 3^rd.  Please return permission forms to your child’s teacher.

Headmaster’s Breakfast:  If your child earned Headmaster’s List (All A’s and all E’s or S’s in Citizenship) they are invited to attend the Headmaster’s Breakfast, Wednesday, January 25, at 7:30 am, in the cafeteria.

Friday, January 27 will be a half-day due to teacher in-service.  No lunch will be served that day.  Extended Care will be available to regular users.  If your child does stay in Extended Care that day, be sure to send their lunch.

Thank You:  to all the 6^th grade moms for the wonderful lunch that you made for us Friday!  The soups, sandwiches and desserts were so delicious!  Thank you!
